Anneke van Giersbergen shines on In Your Room, her most personal album yet

Anneke van Giersbergen & her band Agua de Annique, will release their new album ‘In Your Room,’ on October 30. This forthcoming production is the first project that has been fully recorded at her home studio, in The Netherlands. Throughout the past few months, Anneke took the time to create several online video-diaries that enabled fans from around the globe to follow this process that took place in “her room”. Now that the recordings are complete, Anneke is promptly going public with a surprising collection of her personal pop-rock songs: In Your Room. The catchy single Hey Okay! is slated for a mid-October release.

The ever-evolving, artistic career of Anneke van Giersbergen has always been a most surprising and versatile one. Since the beginning, hers has been a growing development, going from fronting the internationally successful band The Gathering, to being one of the most renowned and credible pop-rock singers from The Netherlands.

Anneke worked on her new album with executive producer Michel Schoots (Urban Dance Squad, Kane and Racoon) and co-wrote a song with fellow musician & record producer Devin Townsend. This past summer, Anneke built her own backyard studio, which is the reason why she believes the album breathes such a feeling of intimacy, with a very personal atmosphere.

Anneke states: “My arms are stretched out, my smile is big, I give you the most conscious, positive and honest chunk of my life so far. New times, new music!”

On October 6, In Your Room will be preceded by the single Hey Okay! In support of her new album, Anneke is to perform 4 shows in The Netherlands, together with her band Agua de Annique.
