Tour Diary South America 7 - Home and South America is where the heart is
Guapo’s y guapa’s!
After a long journey in trains, planes, automobiles and a bus I finally arrived home safe and sound. Danny and I traveled together to Europe and in Madrid we parted ways. He went to London and I to Amsterdam. When I got home I entered an empty place. Rob is still on tour and Finn is with his grandparents spending his last night there. I was half dead from my travels so I ate a sandwich and jumped into bed after a shower to get a solid 12 hours of sleep! Lord knows I needed it! And today I awoke like a new person and right back on track in European time zone again. Today will be all about domestic stuff. Laundry, cleaning the house, picking up Finn from school, groceries. I love it. It’s the opposite world of gigging, hotels and roomservice, lot’s of people around you all, and every day, which I love equally but differently. And instead of hearing the big city noise of cars and people, all I heard when I woke up was birds singing in our little beautiful village. Isn’t it all about balance my dear friends?
My head and heart are still full of South America. We have seen beautiful places and beautiful people. Our final show was in Rio de Janeiro in a fantastic venue called Estrela da Lapa. Our opening act was Pedro Agapio. I discovered him only now and was charmed by his presence and his fantastic voice. He taught me how to play a bossa nova on the guitar, boy that is not easy I tell you. He gave me some homework so I can perform one if I return to Brazil. By telling all of you this, I just added a little more pressure on my studies ☺ The gig was super super nice. The Rio crowd was totally into the show and so were we. We were happy our final performance was in this amazing place, which by the way will be closed in a couple of weeks, so we were lucky to have been there just in time.
So here I am, in my silent surroundings, blessed with fantastic memories. I would like to thank all of you who came to the shows and for all the comments all over the internet. You are just lovely and I hope to return very very soon with Agua de Annique so we can also share some rock & roll with y'all! And of course, a big thanks to Danny, my dear friend. We had a great time!

"Estrela da Lapa is indeed an awesome place, loved it too, didn't know they were goind to close =/ I was one of the people in that loong line to talk to you and take pictures in the end of the night. You said to some of us "thank you for waiting", and all I could think was "I'm so sorry for spending your time" =x. Wish I could talk more to you, ask how did you like the audience, but of course you were tired and willing to get some sleep, and the production guys were there to asure it XD Thank you and Danny for the beautiful show!It was a great experience for everyone there! "Hola Guapisima….I'll miss all the adventures that you wrote in your diary during the tour, you made me laugh a lot with those funny details, it seemed that it was writing by a very close friend, not a distant person, I appreciate a lot that sense of closer distance, you are so different than other artist………. ;º) In the other hand, I am very glad that you arrive safe and sound to your home, I’m sure you're so happy to have arrived home again after so many days of being absent to be with your lovely Finn and be more close to Rob wich is in tour on Europe; it’s fantastic to travel other beautiful countrys doing all the thing you like to do, but, as you say: everything needs a balance, so enjoy your family and your normal life again. You must see all things different and more beautiful after so long out, sensing those changes and the internal ones that left to you the awesome travel you made, i'm sure you will find a great source of inspiration for some perfect artistic creations of your own. I hope you have in mind to come to Mexico with Agua soon, here we miss you a lot &. personally I miss you a little bit more ’cause last time you came (15 March 09), I could not go because that day was my daughter’s birthday, and even that she was very excited about assist with me to your presentation, we couldn’t go because she is only 12 years old and in the Hard Rock Live is not allowed the entry to persons who are under 18, and because of that, really I didn’t feel with the animic sense to go alone if she couldn’t go ‘cause she loves you so much. Talking about you being in Mexico and your adventures in Taxis, I've been thinking that here in Mexico, i can be your free of charge taxi guy & my daughter the co-pilot, I promess to drive very smooth!!!!! ;) all you have to do is to sign my Agua CD’s, my Gathering DVD’s & CD's, my car, and definitely on me (that would be the best signing ‘cause indicate that we met you )........;-) ha ha h ha ha ha Anyway, I’m preparing mentally to refuse showers the rest of my life to preserve your signing if it happens.. Another issue I wanted to talk about is that I need a Agua de Annique DVD or blu-ray, hopefully you've had in mind, surely many of us will love it………is something necessary!!!!!!!!!! ;-) well, I have to keep working, but not before I tell you it's a plesure to share this world with you.
