Concert for Chile
Hello dear people,
Yes, it's official: there will be a benefit called Concert for Chile at De Melkweg venue in Amsterdam on March 24th 2010. Yesterday I announced the news on national TV at Dutch talkshow De Wereld Draait Door. I also played a very short version of Sunny Side Up, which will be my new single with all profits going to Chile as well. This song is already available for download as one of the album tracks from In Your Room on iTunes. Watch Anneke at De Wereld Draait Door here.
On my website you'll find a Concert for Chile banner which will take you to a special page with all the necessary details. There you will also find all confirmed artists. We will add a few more names in days to come. As you can see we already have a great line up with some of Holland's finest musicians!
Thank you for all your kind words dear friends. I feel very blessed being able to help. As you may know my female lighting technician Eveline is originally from Chillan - Chile. Part of the funds raised through the concert and the single will be used to help out the orphanage were she was taken care of as a baby.

"ANNEKE!!!!!!!!!!! This is why I love you so much: you're not only an amazing singer, but you're also a beautiful preson, in all aspects :-) . Today I found out that you'll be performing in my country (Argentina) with David from Anathema!! that made my day, and I'm as happy as I'm able to be. I'm dead broke and I have no money at all, BUT for you I'll save my money and I'll attend that concert (or at least I'l try, haha! :-P ). Is really great that you show your concern about Chile in such a positive way, making a show to help people. You're outstanding as an artist and as a person.
